Romont is at the centre of French-speaking Switzerland and is always bustling with activity in the town centre. The medieval town, perched on a hill, offers an exceptional panorama of the Pre-Alps fribourgeoises and the surrounding countryside.

Founded in the 13th century, Romont has a rich architectural heritage with its ramparts, castle and Gothic collegiate church, castle and Gothic collegiate church. The town is also famous for its Swiss Museum of stained glass, the only one of its kind.
